Tires.com- Support and continue on-going development of three public-facing, ecommerce websites: Tires.com (store appointment), Discount Tire Direct (mail order), and Direct Performance (wholesale). Aside from everyday maintenance and enhancements, I am currently leading an effort to completely reengineer the code base in order to make it more maintainable and extensible. Everything from the database to the presentation layer is being completely overhauled. The core technologies include: Struts, JSTL, JSP, Servlets, Filters, EJB, Custom Tags, SQL, Stored Procedures, XDoclet, JavaMail, Log4J, Maven, and ANT. Scrum is the Agile methodology used for all company development.

Knowledge Center- Designed and developed an n-tier Java EE (J2EE) framework to be used as the foundation of the company's intranet-based applications. This included initiating and developing a standardized, global look-and-feel for internal applications to share. Based on JSF, applications such as order catalog, business card ordering system, employee academic reward program, employee lookup directory, and various other dynamic forms were developed and deployed on WebLogic using SQL Server as the backing data store. Technologies used included: JSF, JSP Documents, JSTL, DHTML, AJAX, Servlets, Filters, EJB, Custom Tags, SQL, Stored Procedures, LDAP, XDoclet, Quartz, iText, JavaMail, Log4J, and ANT.

OEWheels- Ported an existing performance-challenged, ASP-based ecommerce application to Java using JSP, Struts, Tiles, JSTL, DHTML, XML, XPath, DOM, SQL, Stored Procedures, and ANT. Many enhancements were added to the application such as a more intuitive, user-friendly look-and-feel, reporting, and fitment search. The application was the first ever to make it past QA without any bugs. As a result of hitting the tight deadline, sales revenue increased by 300% averaging more than 5000 orders a month by the end of that quarter.

Status Boards- Enhanced an existing Struts/EJB-based application by adding functionality that enabled it to read an Excel file, parse it into XML, transform it using XSLT to JavaScript/HTML, and then display it as a bar graph projected onto a large screen. Other similar enhancements were developed to help IT better support its stores, warehouses, and regions.

ShipFlex- Designed and developed the front-end and back-end for a shipping, data-aggregation web service. To achieve optimum performance in delivering high-volume, high-speed shipping rate information in a single lookup, streamlined architecture was key. Java web modules included: rate-lookups, package tracking, automatic billing, XML interfacing, reporting, and administrative console.

B2BFlex- Designed and developed a content management (CMS) framework to use as the kernel of an ecommerce solution. The template system was proprietary and based on MVC architecture. The framework was robust, responsive, and highly flexible. An administrative counterpart was also developed in order to allow customers the ability to maintain their own websites. Technologies used included: JSP, Servlets, SQL, and DTHML. Modules developed included: shopping cart, purchase orders, credit card processing, shipping, pending orders, order history, RMA, report generation, and so forth.

Debt-Free Today- Designed and developed a web-based solution for a debt consolidation resource utilizing JSP, SQL, and HTML. Project involved intensive calculations and dynamic content generation.
